All You Need To Know About Memory Foam Mattress

Does your body ache every morning? Are you restless and sleepless? A memory foam mattress can help remedy these problems and make the day feel better. Lucky for you, the memory foam invented by NASA 50 years ago to protect astronauts is now used in mattresses. When you lie on a memory foam mattress, its soft foam adjusts to every part of your body from head to foot. The temperature-sensitive material distributes body weight evenly and reduces pain. If you suffer with back, neck, hip and joint pain, mattress brands like Ashley-Sleep®, Tempur-Pedic® and other premium brands are perfect for you. They adapt to your body so you can rest easy in personalized comfort. Add an adjustable base and with the touch of a button, you’ll discover that perfect ergonomic position. In addition to pain relief, there are five more great health benefits of memory foam mattresses.

HELPS EASE SLEEP APNEA
When a memory foam mattress and pillow are used together, your head will be properly elevated. This helps clear the path to easier breathing because your airways are no longer obstructed.

HELPS ALLERGY SUFFERERS
There’s nothing to sneeze at with memory foam. Since these mattresses are made of polyurethane foam, the interior of your mattress will always be free of allergy-causing dust mites. By eliminating one of the major allergens, these mattresses can also help control asthma.

IMPROVES METABOLISM
If your partner constantly tosses and turns, you’ll never know it with a memory foam mattress. The foam isolates all motion and you’ll enjoy uninterrupted sleep. This will positively impact your metabolism, which may in turn help you lose weight, deal with daily stress and improve your overall health.

PROVIDES PROPER SPINAL ALIGNMENT
Contouring support provided by a memory foam mattress keeps the back aligned and delivers pressure-relieving comfort while you sleep. This helps with preventing back pain and future spinal problems. As time goes on, these mattresses are less likely to sag and lose shape, so your back will not suffer.

Mix and Match: Bedroom Sets

Bedroom Sets: Mix and Match:
Did you know that the average person spends 33% of their lifetime sleeping? This statistic is based on 8 hours of sleep per day. That being said, if you spend one third of your lifetime in yourbedroom, then why not make it into a beautiful retreat and comfortable haven? So how exactly are you supposed to achieve a look that reflects peace and tranquility? Opt for neutral tones and gorgeous natural materials. In fact, here are a few propositions to help paint you a picture!

Bed:
The Maribel B138 Panel Bed features a beautiful relaxed cottage design with an urban appeal. The details along the scalloped top and base are bathed in a rich black finish, to create an earthy aesthetic.  This is an exemplary piece of how to transform your bedroom décor into an inviting atmosphere.
Nightstand:
Who said that bedroom furniture needed to be matchy-matchy and from the same collection? Mixing furniture pieces from different collections can be just as delightful! The Charlowe B013-191 nightstand pairs beautifully with the panel bed, as it enhances the dark undertones found in the grain of the planks. The vintage charm of this piece, along with the distressing marks fit well with the casual cottage design of the bed.

Dresser:
Finally, who can forget a staple piece in the bedroom, the dresser! The Emerfielddresser features a chic farmhouse style which would work well from a country cottage to an urban city loft. The lovely two-tone finish and weatherworn appeal will add a bit of warmth to all the black hues paired together with all the pieces. In addition, the round metal hardware echoes the vintage-inspired look as seen on the nightstand.

As you can see, the edgy blend of these three pieces from separate collections is an argument well disputed – that random pieces can be put together to create a well-harmonized bedroom style.

Boys Bedroom Sets

pic1
Boy’s Bedroom:
Is your little tyke growing up to be quite the young man? Every parent wants to offer their little boy a space that is a reflection of their personality and interests. At this point, your son has outgrown his toddler-sized furniture and is ready to embrace a more mature look in his bedroom. Planes, trains, trucks and toys, there’s nothing quite like little boys! That being said, transform your son’s room with that boyhood spirit he has always wanted! The idea is to try to combine his interests with practicality and quality, so that his furniture can last… until he reaches his tween years of course!
Bed:
If you’re looking to change his bed, then you do not have one of those transformable cribs that can go from a crib to a daybed, and even a double bed! If your son had a toddler bed, then he likely outgrew it a while ago, and so you need something a little more mature-looking to mesh well with the new bedroom theme. Among the favorites for little boys are bunk bedsloft beds and trundle beds which are awesome for sleepovers. They are fun, functional and provide great storage!

Dresser:
Next, you need a dresser. Once you’ve chosen the bed, you can take a look at the matching dresser. However, if bedroom space is an issue, then a tall dresser is the better choice. You can still have loads of storage, but in a vertical manner.

Desk:
At this point, the little guy is not likely to get any homework assignments, but you can always opt for a desk as a craft station. That way you can tame the mess and keep it local! Eventually, he will get homework anyway!

Nightstand:
Last, but not least, the nightstand is a must for his bedside. It’s less likely to be a piece that is emphasized in a nursery set, but now you can get the matching nightstand for his new set. Aside from being handy for extra storage, he can use it to display home décor such as a table lamp, frames and an alarm clock.

Girl's Bed Sets

Girl’s Bedroom:
Is your little girl growing up fast and out of her baby furniture? Bye-bye baby, hello young lady! Every parent wants to make their little girl feel like a princess, by offering them a space that reflects their unique personality. Yes, redecorating can be quite overwhelming, but the idea is to incorporate some of your daughter’s main interests into an overall scheme. That way, she can enjoy her room for years to come…until she hits her tweens of course!

The bed:
If you’re looking to change her bed, you’ve most likely kept your daughter’s transformable crib or toddler bed until she outgrew it. Now you can go for something a little more mature-looking to mesh well with her theme. By this point, most little girls admire princesses. So the question is, how do you picture a princess bed? Most girls are taken by a poster bed or daybed! They have that princess quality! A neat feature that would really come in handy is the option of adding a trundle below. That way, your daughter can enjoy sleepovers!

Dresser:
Then there’s the dresser. Choosing the perfect bedroom furniture means getting the look, along with the function and quality. If bedroom space is an issue, selection a tall dresser would be a better option. Although a little girl may not need all of the storage space just yet, who’s to say she won’t eventually become a frequent mall visitor at some point! Even princesses like to change dresses.

Desk:
Another important piece is a desk. Although you might be selecting these furniture pieces before your daughter is subjected to any homework assignments, you can begin by using it as a craft station.

Nightstand:
Finally, how can we forget the nightstand? Every bedside is in need of one!  This is a piece that is not as likely to be included in a nursery. However, at this stage, it can come in handy for extra storage or to display décor such as a table lamp, frames and an alarm clock!

Choosing the Right Mattress for You

By True Style Furniture

Mattresses – making the most of your sleep:

The difference between a foam mattress and a spring mattress might make all the difference if you’re having trouble sleeping. Did you know that the average person spends approximately 30% of their life sleeping? This means that the importance of a supportive mattress is imperative to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Why? How you sleep will directly affect how you feel and go about your daily activities. Therefore, it would be wise to say that you need to make the most of your sleep! Let’s take a look at the pros and cons of a memory foam mattress vs. a spring mattress;

Facts about spring mattresses:
·         It seems that one of the main reasons that springs are still being used in mattresses is because it is very inexpensive!
·         Spring mattresses only give the illusion that they are supportive and comfortable, but they not provide sufficient pressure point relief.
·         Proper support with a spring mattress is not possible because one’s body does not push evenly on the coils.
·         A spring mattress loses about 16% of its firmness within the first year, but they can last about 10+ years.

Facts about foam mattresses:
·         With a foam mattress, pressure points are reduced, which in turn reduces tossing and turning – the leading cause of poor sleep. However, if you’re going to opt for a spring mattress, the firmer it is, the better.
·         Memory foam mattresses do not need to be flipped unlike spring mattresses. There is no maintenance required.
·         Allergies are significantly reduced with memory foam mattresses, as dust mites can only live on the surface and not on the inside of a solid block of foam.
·         Memory foam mattresses are temperature sensitive – this means the foam takes time to adjust to your body. The colder the room, the longer the mattress will take to adjust or recover its shape.

Now that you have the facts, you can decide which mattress suits your needs, if your budget permits you to make the choice.
